Case Study - Health

Jiang Hao’s story – Health

Jiang Hao is a 1-year boy. His mosquito-bitten skin had become inflamed due to skin allergy, so he caught Save the Children staff’s attention as soon as he was carried in the door by his mother who discussed with Save the Children on how to relieve her child’s skin inflammation, and how to secure clean water and adequate nutrition.

“The small swellings on his skin were bitten by mosquitoes. They were not serious at first, but he often scratched the itching places so the skin becomes all red. I took him to the county hospital but the medical fee cost a lot! I pay much attention to children’s bathing, try to make it twice a day, but we can’t reach clean water very often.

“Save the Children then gave me a mosquito net and also distributed perfumed soaps, towels and food. Moreover, thanks to the water filter provided by Save the Children, we can access clean water now. Jang Hao’ skin allergy and health has been improved a lot. We both are so excited about it!” Jiang Hao’s mother said.
